Fall Foliage Events

For the experience of a lifetime, visit The Living Word Outdoor Drama. During the 2 hour drama you will be transported back in time to old Jerusalem as you walk the streets with Jesus. Learn the history of the Roman empire witness His miracles, cry at His crucifixion, shout for joy during his resurrection and be amazed as He ascends into Heaven. With 3 actors alternating in the role of Jesus and a rotating cast, each performance is as unique as the story itself.

Take in a full day of 16th Century fun at the Annual Ohio Ren. Festival with nearly 100 shows each day on 12 stages. In the 3--acre permanent re-creation of a 16th century English Village.

Come enjoy hot buttered sweet corn, served piping hot by the sponsors, the Millersport Lions Club. Something for everyone: grand parade on Aug. 31 at 6 PM; national country music shows on Sept. 2 and 3 in the evening; large midway, contests nightly for children; free round and square dancing; antique tractor pulls; historical village; covered bridge; exhibits; and lots of food and game booths operated by area non-profit organizations.

Fall Hiking Extravaganza-Register and come out to The Wilderness Center and hike all of our trails from 9-1-05 through 11-30-05 and earn your hand-carved Wilderness Center hiking staff with a pin for each year you participate. All registered children receive a free magnifying box.

Corn mazes have been apart of Maize Valley for seven years now. This year our maze will feature the "Grape State of Ohio" Our design will feature grape and wine related challenges and triva. Plus it just goes with all the fun things we do all Harvest Season at Maize Valley.

A lot of differnt things happen during our "Harvest Happenings". We offer Corn mazes haunted and not, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, pettting pasture, kids farmyard play area, Big Screen T.V. for the sports fan, concessions with great food from our health department licensed kitchen, pumpkin cannon demonstrations and more.

Enjoy family oriented exhibits, entertainment, and activities located in downtown Sidney, the Sidney Airport, and the Shelby County Fairgrounds. Live entertainment includes The Danger Brothers, The Dianmonds, The Square Dancing Tractors, and the Swing Era Band. Enjoy bed races, vintage baseball games, the worlds largest water balloon fight, cloggers, and a motorcycle cruise in. Our air show will be offering fee airplane rides for all children 12 and under. Come see the craft show, flea market, farmer's market, and quilt show. Exhibits will include heritage, industrial, and agricultural related displays. Fireworks show, foods of every variety, and much, much more in a weekend packed with great family fun.

The 32nd Annual Mantua Potato Festival is held the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Labor Day each year. This years dates are September 9 thru 11, 2005 and features many food items made from potatoes: candy, doughnuts, perogies, pancakes, bread, cookies, and favorites like French fries, potato chips, baked, etc.

Bring along perennials, fall decorations from the garden, and produce for a day of trading, buying and learning. Workshops on gardening, recycling in the garden, and solar use will energize gardeners to go home and try new ideas. The actual exchanging begins around noon. Don't forget to bring garden books, bundled magazines, pots and seeds for trading or selling.

Brumbaugh's Fruit Farm presents "Autumn Farm Fest". Family entertainment at its best including hayrides to the "Kinda Kooky Korn" maze, a petting zoo, a playground for the children, pumpkin patch, craft shows, apple delights, live entertainment and many different types of food can be found at Brumbaugh's Fruit Farm in Arcanum.

Beavercreek, Ohio Heritage Days and Herb Days is "an old fashioned fall festival for the whole family" Sept. 17-18, 2005, Sat. 10am-4pm and Sun. 11 am-4 pm. Overlooking the valley with our 4,000 apple trees you'll enjoy over 100 homemade craft exhibits, corn maze, antique show, live bands, petting zoo, horse drawn wagon rides through the apple orchards, outdoor barbeque, children's activities, Bag Your Own Apples, apple fritters, apple dumplings, apple pie and ice cream, and lots more!

A festival celebrating the beauty of the Fall season, in a beautiful setting. Take a wagon ride to Festival Field where you can taste fresh harvest soup, sample a variety of apples, watch apple butter being made, and help us press some apple cider. Venture on to the Plant Science Center and learn about honey harvesting and try some fresh picked veggies or just enjoy browsing through the crafters and see the parade of antique tractors that helped revolutionize farming. Children's area includes pony rides & kid size hay maze, 3-acre con maze for the "big" kids, bushel loads of activities for all ages.

Central Ohio's original and largest family Fall family harvest festival. Enjoy a walk down Fodder Lane with your camera, take a hayride to pick a pumpkin, visit the Scarecrow Cave, Fun Barn, Corn Maze, Sunflower Maze, Petting Zoo, Pumkin Cafe and Bakery. Opening Weekend for fall fun! Come down to the farm for wagon rides, corn maze, pumpkin painting, the Giant Slide, Make a Scarecrow and our famous Barrel Train Ride! Visit the concession stand and help the Lakewood Drama Club in their fundraising efforts. We are open every weekend through Halloween. So come on down to the farm and spend the weekend with us. Every year we prepare one of our fields for pumpkins. We have had some outstanding pumpkins grown here over the past several years, and we look forward to another good crop on 2005! The most exciting way to buy a pumpkin is to "pick your own" pumpkin directly from our field. We will be running the Pick Your Own Pumpkins on Saturdays and Sundays. To choose your pumpkin, purchase a ticket at Cowvin's Snack Shop located between the Dairy Store and the Barn, then get on the wagon ride that goes to the Pumpkin Patch. After arriving at the field, get off the wagon and look (and look) until you find just the right pumpkin (or pumpkins!) to fit your needs.

This annual event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #3369. Entertainment by Cordray at 8pm, Monte Carlo games throughtout the festival, and horse and wagon rides will be offered, as well as kids' games in the Parish Center. There will also be German and ala carte food items.

Spend a fun-filled day at our family-owned and operated fruit orchard and retail farm market. Ride a hay wagon through the orchard to pick your own apples and enjoy pony rides, festive music, cider pressing, a petting zoo and many other relaxing family activities. The German Village Oktoberfest is a celebration that blends a time-honored German festival with the vitality and charm of a thriving urban neighborhood. With 35 bands on three stages, a wide variety of authentic German food, as well as artisans and shops, Oktoberfest continues to brew a whole new tradition of fun in Columbus.
