Her true tales of historic homes and the people who lived on and sailed Lake Erie take you to the distant and not-so-distant past as you view gargoyles, haunted pathways, and other ghostly retreats.

History, legends and Ghosts! Travel into the twilight and back into the past on our Haunted Canal Boat Rides. Guests will board the pride of Canal Fulton- the St. Helena III canal boat and travel down the Ohio & Erie Canal as twilight falls upon the water. Program by Haunted Heartland Tours.

What's more fun than Halloween? HalloWeekends at Cedar Point! The thrills of the world's biggest collection of coasters combine with spooky chills and monstrous fun for little ones for a great holiday event for six spectacular weekends. This is a fun family-friendly event--there's even a kids' funhouse and Children's Costume Contest.

Ohio's only haunted tunnel! Ghosts, ghouls, and other creepy characters decorate the walls of the tunnel. Watch out for any scary surprises.

SATURDAYS, Oct. 1, 8 & 15. Join the Lake County Historical Society on a different trip each weekend to unique cemeteries in Lake County. Meet the "residents" face to face and hear their stories. Completely narrated with rustic barn dinner on return. Begins and ends at the Lake County History Center. Reservations.

HallZOOween, which runs for three weekends from 4-8 p.m.(October 14-16, 21-23 & October 28-30), provides a safe, fun environment where parents can ensure their little goblins will have a variety of fun choices from watching the elephants smash a pumpkin, to visits with popular cartoon characters, strolling beloved mascots, storytelling, and the most popular activity of all: trick-or-treating!

Learn that fact is more chilling than fiction when the Statehouse combines history and legend in this hair-raising but bloodless lantern-guided tour. Hear about the Mad Dog Stone and the Harrison burial horror. See the Lady in Gray, President Lincoln and the beautiful Miss Chase and more. Find out what comes out of the Statehouse woodwork after dark.

Junior volunteers at Stearns Homestead, Parma's Historic Farm, have planned a safe Halloween experience for all ages. Refreshments, games, and an adult-led hike through the "Haunted Pasture". The "Haunted Pasture" will be open October 21,22,28 & 29. Hours are 6:00-9:00pm each night. Donations will benefit the farm's educational programs.

Enjoy SPOOK-tacular thrills, BOO-tiful autumn colors, DEVIL-icious refreshments, and fun for the whole family! Visit the indoor "Haunted Hay Maze" this fall at the Hiram House Camp "Double H Ranch", on Saturday, October 22, 2005, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., and also on Sunday, October 23, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. This is a "family friendly" fall event.

Take a train ride on the "Haunted Rails" at the Minerva Scenic Railway. October 22, 23, 29, and 30, you can ride the regular daytime hours and also a night train. Cars will be decorated and prizes given for the best costumes. Employees will be in costume. Be sure to wear your costume! Reservations required.

Pirates board the Santa Maria, a family oriented event. Meet our crew of pirates and watch out for the rats and sea monster. A lot of fun and a little boo for everyone.

Come out to the Old Mans Cave Campground at Hocking Hills and enjoy pumpkin decorating, costume and campsite decorating contests, hayrides, trick-or-treat, a night hike and campfire. Regular camping fees apply.

Teenagers and young adults don't want to miss the Train of Terror & Haunted Engine House for a trip of scary fun. Passengers take a frightening night quarter-scale steam train ride past the woods. Then, for those that survive, there is a walk through the creepy, dark, haunted engine house building. Watch out for suprises that will make you scream! Not recommended for young children under 12.

A very child friendly Halloween celebration. Bring the kids for a fun filled afternoon with games, crafts, prizes, pumpkin decorating and lots of Halloween treats! Children with costumes get in free! Hours 12:00 – 4:00. Regular admission for adults and seniors.
